Collaboratie in strip
Schuld en onvermogen in Peter Pontiacs Kraut (2001), Wide Vercnockes Drieman (2020) en Koenraad Tinels Scheisseimer (2023)

In dit artikel analyseer ik twee collaboratiestrips uit België, Koenraad Tinels Scheisseimer (2023) en Wide Vercnockes Drieman (2020), en het Nederlandse Kraut (2001) van Peter Pontiac. Doel van de analyse is om te laten zien hoe deze stripmakers de vorm en cultuurgeschiedenis van het medium strips inzetten in hun verbeelding van het collaboratieverleden van hun familie tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog. In alle drie de strips spelen zowel een onvermogen om over het traumatische verleden te communiceren als schuldgevoelens een centrale rol. Aan de hand van het concept postmemory van Marianne Hirsch zal ik laten zien hoe het onvermogen tot communiceren en de schuldgevoelens van de drie auteurs over de collaboratie van hun vader of grootvader worden vormgegeven in deze stripboeken.
