Author Biography

Alicia Schrikker

Alicia Schrikker is associate professor of colonial and global history at Leiden University and editor of bmgn – Low Countries Historical Review. She specialises in the history of colonialism in Asia in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries and currently leads two nwo funded research projects that are founded on a critical approach of the voc and colonial archives. https://www.universiteitleiden.nl/en/staffmembers/aliciaschrikker#tab-1.
